Job Summary
The Research Assistant & Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting research and consulting teams working on Innovation Research and Green Transformation consultancy projects. This hybrid role involves conducting research on industry innovation, sustainability strategies, and innovative solutions, as well as coordinating and managing consulting projects that support clients’ green transformation efforts. The candidate should be able to contribute to research development, assist with project coordination and events, manage project documentation, and ensure that project goals are met on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Research Support: Conduct comprehensive research on innovation, emerging trends in green transformation, and the unique characteristics of cities and provinces. Analyze and synthesize data to inform the development of strategies, master plans, and actionable recommendations for sustainable green innovation and transformation at local and regional levels.
- Project Support: Facilitate the implementation of project plans, engaging all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility while adhering to budget constraints.
- Planning and Coordination: Coordinate internal resources and third parties to ensure the seamless execution of projects. Oversee resource availability and allocation while maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
- Project Documentation: Keep all project documentation current, ensuring all records are updated and in compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards.
- Event Management & Stakeholder Engagement: Organize and manage project-related events, workshops, and stakeholder meetings. Set agendas, coordinate logistics, and ensure smooth execution of events. Record meeting outcomes and follow up on critical action items.
- Undertaking other project tasks assigned by the Director of the Agile Innovation Center and/or project directors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
- Proven experience in research support and project coordination, preferably within sustainability, green transformation, or innovation consulting.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and communicate findings effectively. Candidates with publication experience are preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in preparing clear, concise reports and presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
- Experience in event management, including organizing and coordinating logistics for meetings, workshops, and client-facing events.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating initiative and responsibility in project coordination, while also leveraging strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal team members, clients, and external stakeholders.
