The People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province is collaborating with VinUni University on a project to build the brand for Nha Trang City.

Date: November 04~05, 2023

On the morning of August 9th, Mr. Dinh Van Thieu, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province, chaired a working session with VinUni University (under the Vingroup Corporation) on the project for the development, positioning, and branding strategy of Nha Trang City. Attending the working session were leaders of Nha Trang City, as well as departments, committees, and sectors, along with representatives from some universities in the province.

During the working session, Mr. Dinh Van Thieu expressed his delight at VinUni University’s agreement to support Khanh Hoa in building the brand of Nha Trang City. He also hoped that scientists and experts from VinUni would collaborate with the province in outlining the branding strategy for Nha Trang. Subsequently, the two parties would coordinate to develop a project for implementation. Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Le Mai Lan, Chairman of the VinUni University Council, stated that the results of an online survey conducted by Kantar Profiles showed that among the 10 cities in Southeast Asia, Nha Trang ranked 9th in brand recognition. This indicates that internationally, the brand of Nha Trang City is relatively modest. Therefore, VinUni experts proposed that in the coming time, the province and Nha Trang City should invest in developing Nha Trang as a smart and green urban area, upgrading urban infrastructure, investing in high-quality tourism and commercial services, and creating a civilized and friendly living environment. The goal is to transform Nha Trang into an internationally recognized tourist city. Alongside development, the city also needs a promotional strategy to enhance its brand.
