VinUni Honored with Vietnam ESG Awards 2024 for Leading the Way in Green Transformation and Green Growth
On April 23, 2025, VinUniversity proudly received the Vietnam ESG Awards 2024 for its Green Transformation and Green Growth Project for Nha Trang City and Khanh Hoa Province. VinUni was selected from over 150 candidates, marking a significant achievement in its commitment to sustainable development and green transformation in Vietnam.
With the philosophy of “Science Serving Life,” VinUni has consistently placed ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) at the core of all its activities. The Green Transformation and Green Growth project stands as a clear testament to VinUni’s dedication to supporting the community and promoting sustainable development.
This is the first green transformation project in Vietnam that has mobilized an international team of experienced experts from top global universities, alongside renowned organizations and businesses in Vietnam and around the world. With two master planning projects, the initiative is expected to positively impact 1.26 million residents and 11,400 businesses in Nha Trang and Khanh Hoa.
Beyond developing the project, VinUni is honored to be the first university chosen to accompany the local authorities in co-creating the green transformation – from strategic planning to providing practical solutions and implementation advice. We have been closely collaborating with Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa to implement solutions such as the green transportation management system, green tourism standards, and the green value handbook.
This award not only acknowledges VinUni’s efforts but also serves as a driving force to continue contributing to sustainable development, aiming for a greener future and the national Net Zero goals.
