Mr. Tran Hoa Nam – Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee: Meeting with VinUniversity on the Green Transformation Master plan for Khanh Hoa Province

On the afternoon of March 8, Mr. Tran Hoa Nam, Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, presided over a working session with the VinUniversity delegation on the plan to develop the Green Transition and Green Growth Proposal for Khanh Hoa Province for the 2024–2030 period.

The Provincial People’s Committee has already established a task force for the province’s green transition and green growth plan, headed by Mr. Tran Hoa Nam. According to the proposal from the Provincial People’s Committee, a draft outline of the Green Transition and Green Growth Proposal will be developed in March. The subsequent steps to finalize and approve the proposal will take place from March to June. However, during the meeting, while VinUniversity representatives generally agreed with the proposed plan from the Provincial People’s Committee, they expressed concerns that the timeline might not be feasible due to the significant amount of work involved. VinUniversity requested an extension to ensure the thorough development of the Green Transition and Green Growth Proposal.

Mr. Tran Hoa Nam concluded the meeting

During the meeting, VinUniversity also outlined specific tasks that need to be carried out in the coming period. It is expected that around 40 experts will be assembled to provide consultation for the proposal, including top global experts who will directly advise on key areas such as: architectural strategy, green tourism, green industry, green agriculture, green urban infrastructure, green transportation, green lifestyles, green policies, green branding, green finance, and risk management.

In conclusion, Mr. Tran Hoa Nam requested VinUniversity to continue with the subsequent steps in the plan to develop the province’s Green Transition Proposal and agreed to extend the timeframe for its completion as needed. He also suggested that VinUniversity proactively coordinate with relevant departments and sectors to carry out the required tasks.
